9. what’s even more disturbing is that i seem to have turned into my mother. i have no idea who alanis is, or why people would listen to a woman who obviously can’t even carry a tune.

11. okay, I laughed out loud when Alanis got to “you don’t want no drama.”

    i mean, it is funny, and christ knows it’s a 1000% improvement on the original (then again so would an Alvin and the Chipmunks cover be), it’s just

    1) it is the WORST SONG IN THE ENTIRE WORLD EVER

    2) Alanis’ voice makes me want to claw my ears out of my head

    3) the cognitive dissonance of “hey, Alanis Morrisette is actually funny!” is sort of doing my head in.

    i do hope that Fergie is mortally offended, though. and will like STOP SINGING. she’s HORRIFYING.

13. I actually like her version better than the original. I was surfing through uTube today and it almost seems like Alanis has better reviews than BEP.

16. I think the cover itself is kind of mournful, in a sort of “wow, this is where we are now,” kind of way.

    But the video is hilarious. Both kind of make me almost not hate Alanis a little bit.
